Your Gift Builds a Better Tomorrow

Access to opportunity is the foundation of economic freedom. A gift to OIC of America builds that foundation: funding the training, credentialing, and wraparound support that move adult learners from unemployment into living-wage careers in the skilled trades and construction. No tuition. No debt. Family-sustaining, life-changing careers on the other side.

Community spotlight

Our entire network is committed to building a better tomorrow. Here’s what our partners, donors, and graduates have to say about the work that OICA does.

MONICA GILBERY

Executive Director, Fortified Academy

“This partnership is more than workforce training—it’s a gateway to second chances. With the support of OICA/STN, we’ve been able to reach people who are often overlooked and provide them with the tools to rebuild their lives—and contribute to critical industries like construction and logistics.”

Kendrick Marshall

OIC of Oklahoma County alum, now training to become a journeyman electrician

“From the moment I walked into the doors of OIC, everything changed. The staff wanted to hear my story. They wanted to help me learn and feel at home. They built my confidence, and the difference OIC made is that they saw my potential where others only saw problems.”

Aram Wheatley

Executive Director/CEO/Founder, Project Build SWFL

“Partnering with OICA/STN has allowed us to fill critical training gaps for students and family members who fall outside traditional funding streams—particularly those older than 24 who still need workforce opportunities. This support has not only strengthened our impact in Southwest Florida but has also given us the capacity to expand—most recently as we launch our Atlanta program.”

Paul Sween

Partner and Chairman of the Board, Dominium

“Closing the gap between talent and opportunity is critical to helping people be able to sustain their lives, including housing. Supporting OIC helps us do both. I’m hopeful many others in the industry add their knowledge and funds to help OIC expand their results to every corner of the country.”

Donation FAQ

What do donations support?

When you give to OIC of America, you invest in: education that leads to real careers, economic mobility that families can build on, and active citizenship that strengthens the communities where our learners live and work. Each area of impact below is grounded in measurable outcomes from our Sullivan Training Network, our STEMLinx youth programming, and 60+ years of proven results.

Our Sullivan Training Network delivers 8 to 24 weeks of NCCER-credentialed construction training to people the traditional workforce system has overlooked. 73% of our graduates move from zero income to an average of $46,080 a year. Many go on to earn more than $76,600 within five years.
73% of graduates move from zero income to an average of $46,080 per year. Three to five years post-placement, alumni in high-demand trades earn over $76,600 annually. On average, OICA graduates earn ~$15,000 more per year than graduates of traditional workforce programs.

One of our flagship initiatives is STEMFest: a series of interactive, partner-sponsored events where students engage directly with STEM careers through hands-on experiments. What began as a pilot in the Twin Cities has grown over the past five years into a national footprint, with partners like 3M, Target, The University of Minnesota’s Institute for Engineering in Medicine and Morgan State University bringing real-world industry expertise and collegiate exposure directly to the students we serve.

STEMLinx is OICA’s K-to-Career youth development system that uses STEM as the entry point for early learning, coaching, and workforce alignment to careers in construction and the skilled trades.
