Hosted by Louis J. King II, President and CEO of OIC of America, the reception served as an opportunity to engage with policymakers and partners around shared priorities, including workforce development, economic mobility and building pathways to opportunity for communities across Pennsylvania and the nation.
Among those in attendance were Rep. Morgan Cephus, Rep. Jordan Harris, Pennsylvania Speaker of the House Joanna McClinton, and Philadelphia City Councilmembers Katherine Gilmore Richardson and Kenyatta Johnson. Their presence underscored the importance of continued collaboration between community-based workforce organizations and public leaders committed to advancing equitable economic outcomes.
The evening also included members of the OIC of America leadership team, including Evelyn Sample-Oates, Senior Vice President of Communications, Marketing and Policy, and Kevin Cooke, Director of Community and Affiliate Relations, who joined conversations highlighting the impact of OIC’s national network of affiliates and training programs.
As part of Pennsylvania Society Weekend, the reception provided a valuable space to strengthen relationships, exchange ideas and reaffirm OIC of America’s commitment to preparing individuals for high-demand careers while supporting long-term economic stability for families and communities.
